About Plate of Paint
I’m an illustrator based in London, working mainly in watercolour and ink to capture the world around us. I’m especially drawn to those quiet, everyday moments that often slip by unnoticed - the ones that make life feel real. You’ll find them scattered throughout my work in quick, loose sketches full of character and charm. I also love illustrating architecture and the built environment from expressive hand-drawn elevations to atmospheric street scenes.
This site is home to a selection of my projects and illustrations, created mostly with ink and wash. Have a browse, and if anything sparks a thought or you'd like to chat, I’d love to hear from you!

My process
I start with traditional materials - watercolour, ink, and pencil - working by hand to capture the essence of a moment or place. Once the piece is complete, I scan it in and make light touch-ups in Photoshop to refine colours, tidy edges, or prepare it for print and web and then it's ready to share!
